Cosecheros Abastecedores

It is a demarcated and controlled area of 30,000 hectares located three hours due out of Madrid on the Castillian Plateau, in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Morena. Valdepeñas means valley of the stones, and the vines are planted between 600 and 750 meters in a calcareous clay soil, which is high in lime content. The noble red variety is Cencibel (aka Tempranillo), and produces outstanding, full bodied, round, long living, red wines, while the Airén variety is ideal for young, crisp, fresh, fruity white wines.
