Rías Baixas
| Adegas Beiramar | A few kilometers from the coast, erected in the heart of the ”Condado de Tea” sits Adegas Beiramar, where the greatest terroir and the old vines surrond the winery located a long the bank of Minho river.
As we strive to make every effort to make the best Albariño wine, we decided to import the excellent modern New Zealand winemaking techniques. To this end, we are very proud to have Alistar Gardner as our winemaker, a well renowned New Zealand winemaker with a previous vast experience on fine white wines in New Zealand, Australia and France.
Perfecting the winemaking techcniques, Carqueixal represents a pure and unique style among the outstanding “Albariño” wines from the lands of “Rias Baixas”. | | Aquis Celenis | Where AlbariÒo is made
In the northwest of Spain (bordering with north Portugal) is Galicia, the mysterious land in ancient times know as the Finisterre; the end of the earth. It is here in the Salnes Vale, one of the areas of the official denomination "Rias Baixas" in the ancient roman settlement of Caldas de Reis in the province of Pontevedra, that the albariÒo wine Aquis Celenis is made. The climate dominated by the Atlantic has generous rainfalls, sunlight hours similar to the mediterranean areas and a moderate climate due to the presence of the ocean. It is a flat landscape with shallow, slightly acidic sandy soils. |
